Art Malik Biography
Art Malik, born Athar ul-Haque Malik on November 13, 1952, is a British actor of Pakistani descent. He rose to international fame in the 1980s through his notable roles in various British and Merchant Ivory television serials and films. One of his most memorable performances was as Hari Kumar in the acclaimed series The Jewel in the Crown. Malik's career highlights include playing in the James Bond film The Living Daylights and portraying the main antagonist in True Lies. He was born in Bahawalpur, Pakistan and moved to London at the age of three when his father got a job as a surgeon. Malik attended Bec Grammar School and later studied acting at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
