Asa Butterfield

Asa Butterfield, born Asa Maxwell Thornton Farr Butterfield on April 1, 1997, is an English actor. He gained recognition as a child actor and has received nominations for various awards, including the British Independent Film Awards, Critics' Choice Awards, Saturn Awards, and Young Artist Awards. Notable film roles include the lead in 'The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas' (2008), 'Hugo' (2011), 'Ender's Game' (2013), 'X+Y' (2014), and 'Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children' (2016). Since 2019, Butterfield has starred as the lead in the Netflix comedy-drama series 'Sex Education'. He was born in Islington, London, and attended Stoke Newington School.
