Barry Shabaka Henley Biography
Barry Shabaka Henley (born Barry Joseph Henley; September 15, 1954) is an American character actor known for his work in film and television. He has appeared as a regular in several television series and has an extensive list of film credits. Henley is particularly recognized for his collaborations with director Michael Mann, having worked with him on five different films. He currently co-stars in the CBS sitcom Bob Hearts Abishola. Henley was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and later moved to San Francisco. He attended San Francisco Polytechnic High School and got his start in acting at the Encore Theatre. Henley's stage name, Shabaka, was inspired by an ancient Egyptian Pharaoh from the 25th dynasty.
