James McAvoy

James McAvoy (born 21 April 1979) is a Scottish actor known for his versatile performances in film and television. He made his acting debut in The Near Room (1995) and later gained recognition for his roles in popular TV shows such as State of Play (2003) and Shameless (2004–2005). McAvoy's breakthrough came with his portrayal of Mr. Tumnus in The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005) and an assassin in Wanted (2008). He received critical acclaim for his performances in period dramas like The Last King of Scotland (2006) and Atonement (2007), earning BAFTA Award nominations.
