John Saint Ryan Biography
John Saint Ryan (born 1953) is an English actor, horse trainer, and equestrian. He is best known for his supporting roles in film and television. Ryan gained recognition for his portrayal of Fergus in the 1997 Fox television series Roar and Myles Standish in Disney's 1994 adventure drama film Squanto: A Warrior's Tale. Born John Barker in Burnley, Lancashire, he attended Rosehill Junior School before pursuing a career as a bookseller and martial arts teacher. Ryan's acting career began in 1983 with his debut in G.B.H. and he later appeared in Emmerdale as Jameson. He has also performed in theatre productions such as Far from the Madding Crowd and A Streetcar Named Desire. Ryan has made appearances in various TV shows including Coronation Street and Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
