Judd Apatow (born December 6, 1967) is an American director, producer, and screenwriter, known for his work in comedy films. He is the founder of Apatow Productions, under which he directed and produced movies like The 40-Year-Old Virgin (2005), Knocked Up (2007), and Funny People (2009). Apatow also helmed This Is 40 (2012), Trainwreck (2015), The King of Staten Island (2020), and is set to direct The Bubble (2022). In addition to film, Apatow produced and developed television series like Freaks and Geeks (1999–2000), Girls (2012–2017), Love (2016–2018), and Crashing (2017–2019). He has also produced popular films such as Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004), Bridesmaids (2011), and The Big Sick (2017).
