Julie Andrews

Julie Andrews, born Julia Elizabeth Wells on October 1, 1935, is an English actress, singer, and author. With a career spanning over seven decades, she has received numerous accolades including an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award, two Emmy Awards, three Grammy Awards, and six Golden Globe Awards. Her notable honors include the Kennedy Center Honors in 2001, the Screen Actors Guild Life Achievement Award in 2007, and the AFI Life Achievement Award in 2022. Queen Elizabeth II bestowed upon her the title of Dame (DBE) in 2000. Andrews began as a child actress and singer, later gaining prominence in Broadway musicals such as My Fair Lady and Camelot. She also starred in Rodgers and Hammerstein's TV musical Cinderella before transitioning to feature films.
