Lee Thompson Young (February 1, 1984 – August 19, 2013) was an American actor best known for his role as the titular character on the Disney Channel TV series The Famous Jett Jackson (1998–2001). He also had major roles in the movie Friday Night Lights (2004) and the TNT police drama series Rizzoli & Isles (2010–14). Young was born in Columbia, South Carolina and began his acting career at a young age. He moved to New York City in 1996 and landed the role of Jett Jackson the following year. Young's passion for acting was ignited when he portrayed Martin Luther King Jr. in a play at the age of ten.
