Macklemore

Benjamin Hammond Haggerty, known professionally as Macklemore, is an American rapper, singer, and songwriter. Born on June 19, 1983, in Seattle, Washington, Macklemore began his career as an independent artist in 2000. He released three works, including Open Your Eyes (2000), The Language of My World (2005), and The Unplanned Mixtape (2009). Macklemore gained worldwide recognition when he teamed up with producer Ryan Lewis as the duo Macklemore & Ryan Lewis from 2009 to 2016. Their single 'Thrift Shop' (featuring Wanz) topped the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 in 2013, making it the first independent song to achieve this since 1994. Macklemore continues to create music and has established himself as a prominent figure in the music industry.
