Michael McDerman Biography
Michael McDerman is an American actor, comedian, and writer, born on August 10, 1977, in Manhattan, New York. He is of Portuguese descent and attended Baruch College, graduating with a bachelor's degree in 2006. McDerman gained recognition for his alter ego, Carmella Cann, a drag queen judge, which he originated and portrayed. He appeared as Carmella Cann on an episode of Ricki Lake titled 'How Straight Is He?' on September 16, 2003. McDerman has also hosted various live events as Carmella Cann, including the Rhode Island International Film Festival and The Original LGBT Expo in New York City. He made a guest appearance on the TV show Law & Order: Special Victims Unit in 2004. Additionally, he has appeared in the stage play 'Ring of Death' in New York City.
