Philip J. Bond is a British comic book artist, known for his work on Deadline magazine in the late 1980s and his collaborations with British writers for DC Comics' Vertigo imprint. Born on July 11, 1966, in Lancashire, England, Bond grew up as the son of a preacher. He began his career in the British alternative comics scene in 1987 and quickly gained recognition for his talent in comical and exaggerated anatomy. Bond's early work includes co-creating Atomtan, a self-published fanzine with Tank Girl creators Alan Martin and Jamie Hewlett. He later went on to contribute to now-defunct title Deadline and was featured in Atomeka.
