Rocky Carroll Biography
Rocky Carroll, born Roscoe Carroll on July 8, 1963, is an American actor and director. He gained recognition for his roles as Joey Emerson in the Fox comedy-drama Roc (1991–94), Dr. Keith Wilkes in the CBS medical drama Chicago Hope, and NCIS Director Leon Vance in the CBS drama NCIS and its spinoffs Los Angeles and New Orleans. Carroll also appeared in the 1995 thriller film Crimson Tide. He began his acting career in the theater and graduated from the School for Creative and Performing Arts in Cincinnati, Ohio. Carroll furthered his knowledge of acting at The Conservatory of Theatre Arts at Webster University in St. Louis, where he earned a B.F.A. degree. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
