Zayn Malik

Zain Javadd Malik, professionally known as Zayn Malik or simply Zayn, is a British singer and former member of the boy band One Direction. Born on January 12, 1993, Malik gained recognition after auditioning as a solo contestant on the British music competition series The X Factor in 2010. Although eliminated initially, he was brought back to form One Direction, which became one of the best-selling boy bands of all time. In March 2015, Malik left the group and signed a solo recording contract with RCA Records. His debut single and album, 'Pillowtalk' and 'Mind of Mine' respectively, both debuted at number one in the UK and US. Malik's unique blend of alternative R&B music has garnered international success throughout his career.
