Death Note

Death Note is a Japanese manga series that follows the story of Light Yagami, a brilliant high school student who comes across a mysterious notebook called the Death Note. This notebook has the power to kill anyone whose name is written in it. Motivated by his desire to rid the world of evil, Light takes it upon himself to use the Death Note to pass judgment on criminals. As his actions gain attention, a game of cat and mouse ensues between Light and a brilliant detective known as L who is determined to stop him.
