Maigret follows Chief Inspector Jules Maigret, a young, unconventional detective leading La Crim in the Paris Police Judiciaire. He applies psychological insight and intimate knowledge of the city to investigate serious crimes. The series also features his wife Louise, a psychiatric nurse, and prosecutor Mathilde Kernavel, his more by-the-book superior.
