Small Prophets is a British television sitcom created, written and directed by Mackenzie Crook. Set in Manchester, it stars Pearce Quigley as Michael Sleep, an eccentric man who turns to alchemy and homunculi after his girlfriend Clea vanished seven years earlier. Using the prophetic creatures to seek answers, Michael is aided and obstructed by workplace colleagues, an unpopular boss and suspicious neighbours. The series premiered on BBC Two and BBC iPlayer.
