Alex Ball

Alex Ball (born 4 August 1981) is a former professional footballer who played in The Football League for Bristol City. After his playing career, Ball transitioned into coaching and became a youth academy coach at Southampton and later the Head of youth development at Bristol City. He has also worked with the U23's in assistant and head coach positions at Bristol City FC. Ball made his only appearance for City in a 2–0 defeat against Bristol Rovers in the 1999–2000 season. Following his release, he played for non-league sides Clevedon Town, Team Bath, Mangotsfield United, and Paulton Rovers. Ball has also coached at Bristol City's academy and the Bristol Academy of Sport.
