Soleil Moon Frye

Soleil Moon Frye (born August 6, 1976) is an American actress, director, producer, and screenwriter. She gained early fame as a child actress, starting her career at the age of two. Frye became widely recognized for portraying the role of Penelope 'Punky' Brewster in the NBC sitcom Punky Brewster, which aired from 1984 to 1988. Despite initially low ratings, the character became a beloved figure among young children. Frye reprised her iconic role in a 2021 revival of the series. Following the original show's conclusion, she made appearances on various TV shows and took on supporting roles in films. In addition to her acting career, Frye directed her first film, Wild Horses, in 1998 and also joined the cast of the WB sitcom Sabrina the Teenage Witch in 2000.
