Ride Along is a 2014 American buddy cop action comedy film directed by Tim Story and written by Greg Coolidge, Jason Mantzoukas, Phil Hay, and Matt Manfredi. It stars Ice Cube, Kevin Hart, John Leguizamo, Bryan Callen, Tika Sumpter, Laurence Fishburne, and Bruce McGill. The film follows a high-school security guard named Ben who wants to prove himself to his girlfriend's brother, a tough cop named James. Ben goes on a ride along with James, but they unexpectedly stumble upon a dangerous criminal. Ride Along received mixed reviews from critics and was a box office success.
