Dustin Hoffman

Dustin Lee Hoffman (born August 8, 1937) is an American actor known for his versatility and emotionally vulnerable portrayals of antiheroes. He played a key role in the formation of New Hollywood. Hoffman has received numerous accolades, including two Academy Awards, four BAFTA Awards, five Golden Globe Awards, and two Primetime Emmy Awards. He has been honored with the Cecil B. DeMille Award, the AFI Life Achievement Award, and the Kennedy Center Honors Award. Hoffman trained at the Pasadena Playhouse after studying at the Los Angeles Conservatory of Music. His notable film roles include Kramer vs. Kramer (1979), Rain Man (1988), The Graduate (1967), and Midnight Cowboy (1969).
