Marcia Gay Harden is an American actress born on August 14, 1959, in La Jolla, California. She began her acting career in the 1980s, appearing in various television programs. Harden's breakthrough came in 1990 with her role in the Coen brothers' film Miller's Crossing. She has received numerous accolades throughout her career, including an Academy Award and a Tony Award. Harden won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her portrayal of Lee Krasner in the biographical film Pollock. She also received an Academy Award nomination for her performance in Mystic River.
