Maria Dizzia Biography
Maria Teresa Dizzia (born December 29, 1974) is an American actress known for her performances in both theater and film. She gained recognition for her role as Mrs. Daldry in the Broadway production of In the Next Room (or The Vibrator Play), which earned her a Tony Award nomination in 2010. Dizzia was born and raised in Cranford, New Jersey, and attended Kent Place School where she received the Drama Award. She further pursued her passion for acting by studying theater at Cornell University and obtaining a Master of Fine Arts from the University of California, San Diego. Dizzia has also appeared in regional theater productions and Off-Broadway, including the role of Eurydice in Sarah Ruhl's play Eurydice.
