Shia Saide LaBeouf (born June 11, 1986) is an American actor, performance artist, and filmmaker. He gained popularity for his role as Louis Stevens in the Disney Channel series Even Stevens, earning Young Artist Award nominations in 2001 and 2002, and winning a Daytime Emmy Award in 2003. LaBeouf made his film debut in The Christmas Path (1998) and later directed two short films, Let's Love Hate (2004) and Maniac (2011). In 2007, he starred in the commercially successful films Disturbia and Surf's Up. LaBeouf achieved further fame as the main protagonist, Sam Witwicky, in Michael Bay's Transformers series, appearing in Transformers (2007), Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen (2009), and Transformers: Dark of the Moon (2011).
