Donald McNichol Sutherland (born 17 July 1935) is a Canadian actor and anti-war activist. With a career spanning over six decades, Sutherland has appeared in numerous films and TV shows. He has received recognition for his performances, including a Primetime Emmy Award, two Golden Globe Awards, and a Critics Choice Award. Despite his acclaim, he has never received an Academy Award nomination, although he was honored with an Academy Honorary Award in 2017.
