Jared Leto portrays The Joker, a psychopathic crime boss and the nemesis of Batman. Leto immersed himself in the role and never broke character throughout filming.

Margot Robbie brings Dr. Harleen Quinzel, also known as Harley Quinn, to life. She is a former psychiatrist turned crazed partner-in-crime of The Joker.

Joel Kinnaman plays Rick Flag, a heroic military leader who leads the Suicide Squad in the field. He executes orders but doesn't always agree with the group's goals.

Viola Davis portrays Amanda Waller, a government official who gives out the Squad's orders. Ambitious and devious, she has big plans and stops at nothing to achieve them.

Jai Courtney portrays Digger Harkness, also known as Captain Boomerang, a rugged and unpredictable thief who uses deadly boomerangs.

Jay Hernandez plays Chato Santana, also known as El Diablo, a former Los Angeles gang member with metahuman fire-conjuring powers.

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje brings Waylon Jones, also known as Killer Croc, to life. He is a cannibalistic metahuman criminal with reptilian features.
