Cast of A Series of Unfortunate Events

Neil Patrick Harris portrays Count Olaf, the main antagonist of the series and the Baudelaire orphans' distant relative. Patrick Warburton portrays Lemony Snicket, the narrator of the series who frequently appears on-screen. Lemony Snicket is a mysterious character who shares with the audience the unfortunate events befalling the Baudelaire orphans. He provides insight and commentary, often breaking the fourth wall to address the viewers directly.

Malina Weissman portrays Violet Baudelaire, the oldest Baudelaire orphan and the inventor of the group. Violet is intelligent, resourceful, and often comes up with creative solutions to the problems they face. She uses her skills in engineering to build contraptions that aid the orphans in their endeavors.

Louis Hynes portrays Klaus Baudelaire, the middle Baudelaire orphan who has a passion for reading and possesses vast knowledge due to his extensive reading habit. Klaus is often the one to research and find answers to the mysterious and unfortunate events they encounter throughout the series.

K. Todd Freeman portrays Mr. Poe, the Baudelaire orphans' clueless and somewhat inept banker and guardian. Mr. Poe is responsible for placing the orphans in the care of various guardians but fails to recognize the danger they face from Count Olaf. He is often depicted as coughing and being oblivious to his surroundings.

Presley Smith portrays Sunny Baudelaire, the youngest Baudelaire orphan who is known for her sharp teeth and ability to communicate through baby talk. Despite her young age, Sunny often contributes to the group's efforts with her unique skills, such as biting enemies or using her small size to access hidden areas.

Aasif Mandvi portrays Uncle Monty, one of the Baudelaire orphans' temporary guardians. Uncle Monty is a kind-hearted herpetologist with a passion for reptiles. He provides a safe and nurturing environment for the orphans until Count Olaf's deceptive schemes put them in peril.
